Best Photo Final

This in my opinion the best photo I’ve taken. I think it’s the best I’ve taken because it reflects some of what I like to see when I take photos or see some. It reminds me of the photography my mother took. She is my ideal for a lot of my interests in life. I’m satisfied with this and want to take more pictures like this. The detail of the corduroy pillow and soft coloring in the wood seems real and right there. I hope this is a step in the right direction for my photography and I hope to do my best.

Finals Critique

This is my favorite picture I took because of the angle I took it at and the way I altered it to be more saturated and color. I didn’t use rule of thirds because I felt it would distract away from the focus on the detail of the seat pillow. I think the peg creates a leading line to pillow. Although, I made most of my focus on the peg. The lighting in the room made the photo have more depth and a 3D look to my photograph. That makes me happy because that’s what I was aiming for.

-Yes. The leading lines are reflection of the boats and dock on the water leading to the boats and dock itself.

Does this picture represent the rule of thirds effect? Why? (5 points)

-This picture uses rule of thirds because all of the boats are along the line between the upper left and right corners.

What horizontal lines can you describe? (5 points)

– The horizontal lines I see are the masts of the boats and the posts of the dock.
